Alteva Uses Microsoft Lync to Improve Innovation Center's UCaaS Experience

Alteva (News - Alert), a provider of hosed Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS), announced on Saturday that it’s Innovation Center in Philadelphia, Pa., has received a massive upgrade in order to provide customers with the best possible experience with UCaaS before becoming fully committed in its service.


The enhancement, according to Market Watch, includes the integration of state-of-the-art video phones, and the installation of Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync, software that gives the Innovation Center a unified communications infrastructure for instant messaging, voice, and video calling as well as Web conferencing.

"It's not enough for Alteva to say that what we're doing is innovative, we've got to show it," William Birnie, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Alteva, said in a statement. "That's precisely what the Innovation Center does, and these latest enhancements demonstrate our continued commitment to being at the forefront of UCaaS technology."

The Innovation Center was created to help customers and partners understand the technology that is rapidly becoming the standard for business communications. Only a hands-on experience will help customers gain a full understanding of how cloud-based UCaaS can increase productivity and effectiveness for any business. The integration of Microsoft Lync into the learning process will help many Alteva customers come to a much faster and valuable understanding.

The improvements being made at the Innovation Center come several months after Alteva’s advanced call center solution received several upgrades, including simpler self-service applications and an IVR auto attendant to allow callers to reach their destination with fewer complications.
