Summer is winding down, but the Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync Solution News community has refused to cool off. Let's review the events that made news this week.
AudioCodes has teamed up with Gigaset Communications to develop cordless Lync solutions. The companies revealed that Gigaset Pro products now feature connectivity with Microsoft Lync servers thanks to the AudioCodes (News - Alert) E-SBC. At any point in and around a building, employees can utilize Lync and access multiple features, including basic calls, call hold, call forward and transfer, directory lookup, base station roaming and handover.
The two companies also facilitated Lync connection by combining AudioCodes One Voice for Lync with the Gigaset N720 IP DECT (News - Alert) Multicell Solution. The result has created an integrated unified communications and enterprise cordless voice solution for Lync users. AudioCodes has initiated the partnership as part of its plan to consolidate all of its Lync-related UC hardware under the One Voice for Lync umbrella.
Also this week, NetScout Systems announced that its nGenius Voice | Video Manager has qualified for interoperability with Microsoft Lync. The partnership will enable nGenius users to use applications that provide Microsoft Lync service delivery insights. With this capability, companies can optimize the way they manage delivered services while lowering their IT costs.
nGenius monitors Lync sessions, recording network, infrastructure and IP communications data. From this information, users can get a sense of Lync's service quality and its end-to-end performance. nGenius also alerts network administrators to Lync service degradations, enabling IT to respond more quickly to potential problems.
Finally, Atia Communications became the fourth U.K. company to achieve Microsoft Premier Support for Lync Partners (PSLP) accreditation. The accreditation gives Atia direct access to Microsoft escalation engineers so that they can help their customers to better deploy UC solutions. The PSLP badge identifies Atia as a top-level Lync-based UC systems service provider.
With that, we wrap up this week's happenings from the Microsoft Lync Solution News community. Join the community daily to keep up with the latest developments in Lync solutions.
