Microsoft Lync Solution News Week in Review

Happy Friday the 13th from the Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync Solution News community! If you're enjoying a Jason Voorhees marathon, then put down your popcorn and your plastic machete for just a moment so that you can catch up on this week's Lync solution news.
This week, North American Communications Resource (NACR) announced that it will host a user group in southern California to demonstrate the virtues of Lync. The group will include professionals from AudioCodes, Polycom (News - Alert), Plantronics, Interactive Intelligence, Avaya, Radvision and AcmePacket. The event is put together by NACR Lync MCM Paul Gurman and Microsoft's Lync Voice TSP for the Southwest, Lee Reese.
At the event, which will take place September 19 at the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) in Playa Vista, California, the user group will explore how Lync can increase ROI, provide a workable alternative to old phone switches and integrate with both line-of-business and contact center operations. NACR is a certified Microsoft National Systems Integrator (NSI (News - Alert)) that also holds gold competency in unified communications (UC).
Also this week, AiQ 5.0, a product from Acqueon Technologies, announced that it had received a Best of Show award for Best Contact Center Solutions at ITEXPO. AiQ, which Acqueon integrated with Microsoft Lync last year, is a complete contact center solutions with support for Hyper-V. AiQ also offers campaign and outbound list management capabilities.
Finally, Yealink and 3CX announced a strategic partnership that will provide UC capabilities to businesses by combining easy-to-use PBX (News - Alert) solutions with IP phones. Both Yealink and 3CX products are now fully interoperable, with Yealink IP phones supported by the 3CX Management Console. The partners will also offer an integrated CTI (News - Alert) solution, enabling users to control IP phones from their desktops using the 3CX Phone System V12.
