AGAT Mitigates Risk with LyncShield
By Anuradha Shukla
AGAT Software Solutions is protecting against Active Directory (AD) credentials theft, block DoS, DDoS and brute force attacks with the release of LyncShield.
This innovative solution promises secure mobile Lync connectivity, enforces connection to registered devices and allows workers to safely use their own devices outside the corporate network.
Organizations face serious security threats if users connect devices to corporate networks from non-managed external networks and public Wi-Fi networks.
Mobile users should defer from storing corporate credentials on mobile devices as these can be stolen or hacked by miscreants who want to misuse data for siphoning money from bank accounts.
Hackers can easily identify if the mobile device is low on security and can leverage Active Directory usernames and passwords to access business applications and confidential data.
All these issues are effectively addressed by LyncShield as the solution can enable workers to use their own devices outside the corporate network without worrying about hackers.
"A growing number of enterprises and organizations encourage employees to bring their own devices and to use them to access privileged company information," said Guy Eldan, CEO of AGAT Software Solutions.
LyncShield can easily control people who are connecting to the network based on the device used.
The solution offers several features such as eliminating the need to use Active Directory credentials, two-factor authentication and blocking DoS, DDoS and brute force attacks.
LyncShield can be easily installed, integrated, and reverses proxy Lync publishing on Microsoft (News - Alert) and non-Microsoft platforms. The solution is offered to customers as an add-on to Microsoft Forefront (ISA/TMG).
Users also have the option to use the solution on a dedicated reverse proxy developed by AGAT - Bastion.
"LyncShield offers a new approach that completely eliminates the need to store Active Directory passwords on the device and does not require any additional client installation, making it an ideal security solution for BYOD," added Eldan.
