Brightstar (News - Alert), the global services company serving the wireless industry in the supply, distribution and delivery of wireless services, has acquired LetsTalk.com, Inc., a provider of mobile device activation and e-commerce solutions.
This acquisition now allows Brightstar to offer its more than 100,000 customer base, which includes manufacturers, operators, retailers and enterprise customers, customization and activation solutions to help them deliver consistent, customer-centric experiences.
According to the CEO of Brighstar, Marcelo Claure, up until now, there has not been a solution that delivered a customer-centric experience that ties all of the channels together. He said that the new acquisition now makes it possible to deliver a fully integrated solution to customers which in turn will mean a seamless and superior omni-channel experience for consumers. Lets Talk will now be rebranded as Consensus and its headquarters will remain in San Francisco.
The new CTO of Consensus, David Stritzinger, said that the new integrated omni-channel will include online, in-store, mobile and social interfaces that will help extend the wireless supply chain to purchase points and enable the sales of connected products. He added that, “Consensus is a great example of how Brighstar continues to respond to gaps in the wireless ecosystem with creative new solutions to enhance both the consumer experience and customer profitability.”
Brightstar had recently entered into a multiyear strategic relationship with four of Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless largest dealers, making Brighstar the exclusive handset distributor and utilizing Brightstar’s world-class supply chain services.
Lets Talk has more than 13 years in the wireless industry and provides activation services to primary U.S. carriers that includes T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint (News - Alert) and Verizon Wireless. The company offers unlimited minutes individual cell phone plans with the top carriers and has also partnered with the top cell phone manufacturers that include BlackBerry, Samsung, Motorola, LG, HTC, Kyocera, Palm and Sony Ericsson (News - Alert) among others.
