Based on Intershop, Sigma is now launching e-commerce Intershop as a Service, a Software- as- a- Service (SaaS) solution, as a planned next step in the recently announced partnership. Fredrik Lundkvist, Business Area Manager at Sigma stated that besides the platform's market-leading performance and scalability, it opted for Intershop because its systems architecture allows a setup tailored for SaaS (News - Alert) solutions. An enterprise e-commerce solution can now be offered to the market.
