The VoX Mobile VoIP calling app has become available to over 100 million PayPal (News - Alert) users thanks to a new agreement between PayPal and Pervasip Corp.
It features a VoX plan called "Pay and Go." It does not require a subscription and users can transfer a dollar or more from a PayPal account.
Pay and Go lets users call anywhere. There are no monthly fees or any connection fees. It features a second phone number, voicemail and competitive rates for global calls.
"We are continuing our vision to position our Android (News - Alert) App for the coming global marriage between mobile VoIP and mobile wallet,” Mark Richards, chief information officer at Vox, said in a statement.“PayPal is arguably the number one global mobile payment company, and is our first step toward that vision. Our App has been well received in the industry and is currently listed in the number 2 position in the Google (News - Alert) Play Store when searching for ‘mobile VoIP.’” VoX Communications’ mobile VoIP application for Android devices has seen more than 100,000 downloads from the Google Play store, according to a company statement.
“We intend to be best of breed and listed in the number 1 position, by continuing to add additional benefits like PayPal,” Richards added. “Millions of people globally do not have a credit card or do not want to enter it into a mobile device for security or other personal reasons."
As of Jan. 15, the VoX Mobile VoIP Android App with a PayPal payment option will be offered to consumers. It is available through the Google Play store.
There are other new locations to purchase VoX Communications (News - Alert) mobile VoIP calling applications and plans. For instance, they are now being sold at 34 Fry's electronics stores located in the United States.
VoX provides video telephone services and VoIP over a stable broadband connection.
