European retailers can now join the cream of US Internet retailers in the use of innovative multi-touch platforms after Skava announced its intent to open a new corporate office in London. Skava leads the mobile and tablet commerce retail technology in the US with a good number if Internet Retailers depending on it to deliver efficient services to their customers.
Skava plans to use the new office to sate the growing demand from the European market, now geared towards delivering optimized experiences to its customers no matter what device they are using.
Martin Gill, Forrester (News - Alert) analyst, quotes the increased activity in Europe’s mobile traffic as a strong enough justification for Skava’s move. In the writing of the Forrester Research (News - Alert), Inc., EU Mobile Commerce Forecast 2012 To 2017, published in July 2012, said, “Some eBusiness executives are already reporting that up to 20 percent of their site traffic is coming from mobile browsers. eBusiness executives must act now.”
If Forrester’s predictions remain true, Skava is on the road to making a fortune in the European market. The report forecasts mobile e-Commerce incomes to rise from EUR 1.7 billion in 2011 to a handsome EUR 19.2 billion in 2017. Better still, the report credits EUR 11.1 billion of the growth to the retail industry, which is exactly the market that Skava targets.
With mobile devices ever-increasing list of capabilities, consumers are now in a position to explore better alternatives to connecting and buying from their favorite dealers. This demands that retailers provide solutions built on platforms that can easily evolve to meet new market demands. Arish Ali, the co-founder and CEO of Skava, is confident that the company has what it takes to deliver such solutions to its potential clients in Europe.
By moving on to Europe, Arish Ali, Skava CEO and India Institute of Technology graduate, hopes to propagate his dream of delivering e-commerce and marketing campaigns to a variety of platforms freeing clients to take care of other brand-related issues. One of its brilliant innovations is the Skava ONE platform which allows retailers to develop cross-device websites and apps using a single integrated platform.
