As mobility usage dramatically increases and the BYOD trend infiltrates work spaces all over the world, companies have begun designing apps that are not just for entertainment purposes, but for work related operations, like point-of-sale (POS).
Revel Systems created an iPad POS solution so that restaurants, grocery stores and retail businesses could function more efficiently and at a lesser cost. To further enhance its capabilities, as it has become a revelation in the business world, it will now be integrating its reporting solution with Quickbooks, an accounting software suite created by Intuit (News - Alert).
Inuit, a provider of business and financial management solutions for small to midsized enterprises, created a collection of products, including Quickbooks, to simply the accounting aspect of businesses.
This merger will now allow business using Revel Systems’ POS to directly export all sales, product mix and other financial to Quickbooks, saving businesses and accountants excessive money and time that was devoted to these efforts.
The integration process is seamless, so businesses will be able to keep all of their existing date and use the Quickbooks, allowing them to pull all their information automatically to any edition of Quickbooks, regardless of software version.
"We have been hearing requests for QuickBooks integration for some time now,” said, Lisa Falzone, co-founder and CEO of Revel Systems. "In our drive to provide the most robust point-of-sale to meet our customers' needs, we wanted to make sure that we were able to integrate completely with as many versions and variations of QuickBooks as possible, and we are happy to say that's exactly what we've done."
The mobility trend, while it has brought a new generation of technology to consumers, more importantly, it has opened up a new wave of business solutions that could make day to day operations, like POS and accounting, easier and less expensive.
