A new report from Juniper Research sees contactless transactions almost reaching the 10 billion mark in just a couple of years. The report found that there are two key disruptive factors to reaching this number. First we have HCE (Host Card Emulation). These are seen as the likely suspects to spur contactless growth in the medium term. However, the report warned that while the industry as a whole would receive a boost from these factors, network operators would lose out.
