Siemens Convergence (News - Alert) Creators have announced that walletXpress version 2.1, the company’s next-generation mobile payment platform, has achieved Oracle Database Ready status through Oracle (News - Alert) PartnerNetwork (OPN).
Oracle Database Ready is part of the Oracle Exastack Ready program, which is an eligibility criterion for independent software vendors, recognizing companies that are developing, testing, and tuning their applications on the latest component products of the Oracle Exadata Database Machine.
The walletXpress is a telco-based mobile payments solution for personal and business use by eliminating cash from transactions with consumers using their phones to make payments or transfer money.
“walletXpress ensures a fast and secure introduction of payment services, such as direct carrier billing, mobile money transfer, bill payment, ticketing and numerous types of prepaid services,” according to Siemens (News - Alert).
The company has opted for Oracle’s services as a mean to prevent “bottlenecks” in the service during peak times.
“The Oracle Exastack Ready program enables partners to deploy their applications with a complete, integrated and cloud-ready infrastructure that will help them accelerate innovation, unlock new features and functionality, and deliver faster, more reliable solutions,” said Senior Director of ISV and SaaS (News - Alert) Strategy at Oracle, Kevin O’Brien, in a statement.
“By achieving Oracle Database Ready status, Siemens Convergence Creators has established a foundation for their application to efficiently run on and leverage the latest features in Oracle Database, to deliver superior value to customers.”
Siemens goes on to say that Oracle’s Exastack Ready program helps customers save money by lowering storage usage, reducing administration tasks, and enabling consolidation onto secure private database cloud environments.
