People seem to respond well to incentives. A product offering is just the incentive that the majority of people will respond to in a positive way. Kik Messenger is an instant messaging application for mobile devices that is available on just about every operating system free of charge. It seems to be doing better than Snapchat and WhatsApp in the U.S. and this is possibly due to its Kik Points program.


Digital forms of payment are becoming a very popular method of conducting business these days. Not to be left behind, Germany’s Deutsche Telekom (News - Alert) has announced its product called MyWallet. According to the German company, in addition to payments, other services will also become digital, such as store concert tickets, membership cards or bonus points.

QR or quick response codes are very popular, not only in a warehouse setting, but also for personal use. By using your smartphone and a barcode reader, many of which are available for free on every OS platform, you can quickly and easily look up information concerning a product.

Offline-to-Online and Visual QR code startup Visualead is a company that is attempting to take advantage of QR codes. In fact, it has already found a friend in China. Chinese social network company Renren is all set to incorporate Visualead’s Visual QR Code technology for its mobile app for iPhone (News - Alert) and Android making it the first social network worldwide to do it.

Are you spending $60 per year for an Xbox Live Gold subscription just to have access to subscriptions to services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant? That may all be a thing of the past it seems that beginning next month your Xbox 360 will give you access to over 20 services without the additional “Gold” cost. In addition, other Microsoft (News - Alert) services will be moved behind the pay wall, like the upcoming TV series from Xbox Entertainment.

We all know how important receipts are. Thanks to Square, receipts could have another more practical use. The company introduced a new tool that it is calling Feedback. Can you guess how this can be used? If you are thinking that a link to your electronic receipt can be used to leave comments and provide “feedback” then I don’t think that I need to say anything else!
