New Vibes Platform Streamlines Loyalty Programs

We all know the feeling of standing at the storefront counter, purchase in hand, and we just know our exact change or crumpled bill or loyalty card is in our wallet somewhere. Seconds tick by, minutes feel like hours, and the eyes of everyone in line bore into the back of our heads as we rummage frantically through the pockets. For something so small, how has our wallet gotten so cluttered? Fear not—with the new platform from mobile marketing technology group Vibes, your wallet can get a whole lot smaller, and you can still carry all the essentials with you.


Vibes recently unveiled its newest enhancement to its Wallet Manager smartphone system: with this cross-channel mobile wallet platform, users can now “mobilize” their rewards programs. Rather than carrying around multiple plastics rewards cards, Wallet Manager users can digitize those cards to their Google Wallet or Apple (News - Alert) Passbook via the Vibes app. What’s more, marketers can utilize the app to reach out to those loyal customers and update them on rewards, alert them to point balances, or inform them as to loyalty privileges in real time. Vibes conducted research finding that 85 percent of consumers believed mobile wallets to be beneficial, particularly in the realm of rewards and streamlining paper products; the updated Wallet Manager seeks to improve upon those areas for its users. 

Julie Novack, Vibes senior vice president of sales and services, said in a statement, “Mobilizing loyalty programs is a win-win solution for both retailers and consumers. For retailers, they offer personalized opportunities to further engage consumers and ultimately build loyalty; for consumers, digitized programs offer a new, more interactive way to engage with their favorite retailers—while enjoying the many perks of being a loyalty member."

Looks like we — and everyone in line behind us — will have Vibes to thank for a more streamlined purchase experience at some of our favorite retailers.
