Magento is a company that offers scalable e-commerce solutions that are designed to help a company grow. This week, Warp 9, Inc., a company that provides mobile and e-commerce solutions for midsized online businesses, has noticed that in a short period of time Magento has experienced incredible growth. This has led to an announcement that Warp 9 has launched a mobile commerce solutions group to serve businesses using the popular Magento e-commerce platform.


I often talk about how the feeling that there is a lack of security influences how people think about mobile payments. Would you want all of your financial information stored on your smartphone or sitting in the cloud? It is enough to make you think twice before agreeing to use a mobile payment option. Is the answer house card emulation (HCE)?

Sometimes we take things for granted in the U.S. We tend to be the first to jump into the waters of new technology with both feet. The same cannot be said for a lot of other countries. While we still have security issues in mind, it doesn’t mean that we are afraid to use mobile payments as an easy way to get the job done. Unfortunately, Latin American banks have encountered many problems in their attempts to modernize their banking services. Opportunity seems to have knocked on the door as a new payment hub, which went live this week, seems to be a success.

There are some things that I will just never understand. One of those is how people and companies are embracing Bitcoin. Over the past several months, there have been quite a few issues with the virtual currency that led to the shutting down of a couple of depositories. Yet this does not seem to effect of Bitcoin being embraced by more customers in spite of all the issues that it has gone through. A lot more companies are willing to accept it as a form of payment.

Mobile commerce is more than a company having a mobilized website and an app. Mobile commerce offers convenience and the ability to accomplish a lot from your smartphone or tablet regardless of where you are. This week, we look at seven essentials for the new world of mobile commerce.
