Motel 6, the USA’s well known budget lodging franchise, has reportedly jumped on the mobile payment bandwagon. A number of organizations in the hospitality sector have already integrated Google (News - Alert) Wallet in their mobile websites to streamline the booking experience for their customers. This service allows you to buy a ticket or book accommodation right from your mobile device with just a few touches. Motel 6, the lodging chain that operates more than 1,100 company-owned and franchised locations throughout the United States and Canada, hopes that the partnership with Google will make it easier, faster, and more convenient for its guests to book a reservation.
In an effort to offer an efficient booking experience to its customers, Motel 6 has developed a robust mobile and digital portfolio of services, which includes an independent WAP site, mobile app for smartphones and tablets, and a custom booking application for Facebook (News - Alert). The integration of Google Wallet marks an important value addition to the service portfolio.
Internet has revolutionized the way we plan trips. With internet all you need is a few clicks of mouse to buy an air ticket or book an accommodation abroad. The new age mobile payment technologies have been designed to further enhance the efficiency of digital booking experience. The integration of Google Wallet will allow on-the-go travelers to book a stay at Motel 6 with few touches. First they will have to select the Motel 6 location within the Motel 6 mobile website; order to make payment for their stay, they need only to simply press the Buy with Google button. The travelers can complete the entire reservation procedure with a few touches.
This advanced payment system securely stores customer's credit card information, and eliminates the need to fill out payment information manually. Thus it helps save a lot of time.
