Food trucks may not be thought of as the most technologically in-touch form of food service, but one popular food truck service based in Atlanta, Georgia has decided to challenge this. Happy Belly Curbside Kitchen has announced that they have implemented NCR Silver mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) system for their growing food truck service.
Dedicated to bringing organic local food to Atlanta, Happy Belly, around since 2012, was recently voted by health website Greatlist as one of the healthiest food truck services in the country. Their “farm to street” business goes further than just providing healthy organic options to locals, but also works on educating Atlanta residents about the benefits of a healthier lifestyle. The socially conscious company also donates 5 percent of their profits to the fight against childhood obesity through the Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta.
Their new mPOS system will be implemented across all four of the company's food trucks using iPads. NCR Silver will give Happy Belly advanced features such as sales tracking and inventory management. Also working as a catering company, Happy Belly will be able to simplify sales management for events using NCR Silver, and better plan the ingredients necessary when planning events.
“We continue to enhance NCR Silver with powerful tools that help small businesses simplify their processes and save valuable time,” said Justin Hotard, general manager, NCR Silver. “For Happy Belly, robust reporting functionality means they are able to tackle the things that matter most, from reducing spoilage to improving customer service at events.”
The owners of Happy Belly came across NCR Silver through the recommendation of another local food company, Tex's Tacos. Happy Belly and Tex's Tacos have a close relationship, with Happy Belly leasing and managing several of their trucks.
