Although websites provide a lot of data on how consumers interact with them, companies are still trying to figure out the best way to improve content monetization. What is certain after years of consumer market research is we still have a long way to go before we can positively say we know when a customer will purchase an item. But new technologies are making it possible for business to use the information they gather from their website to increase the likelihood of a purchase. Basis Technologies, provider of multilingual search and text analytics, has partnered with Zoomd, a platform empowering next action on desktop and mobile browsers, to monetize desktop and mobile browsers around the world.
The action recommendation engine that accelerates user browsing and decision making by Zoomd is going to be combined with Basis Technologies' Rosette linguistics platform to support browsing in English, Portuguese, and Russian, addressing more than 1 billion speakers. The new platform will start offering more of the 40 languages Rosette supports in the future.
The technology Zoomd provides is going to give search engines, publishers, and e-commerce sites new revenue opportunities and increase conversion rates by enabling users to make their next step on-site. The company's next action recommendation platform lets users navigate the website of their choice more efficiently so they can reach their end goal.
Using big data analysis of user activities for that site, page semantics, recent activity, and past actions in the same context, Zoomd is able to keep users onsite by offering personalized actionable next steps. With this technology, e-commerce sites can deliver sharply targeted ads, sponsored content, and action ads.
"Zoomd replaces the awkward typing and context switching that typically follows browsing on a webpage or searching in a search engine. Instead, we predict the user's instinctive next steps, and get them there more quickly," said Amit Bohensky, Founder and CEO of Zoomd.
Having the Rosette platform as the linguistic solution will give Zoomd the ability to interact with a global audience. Rosette provides a flexible text analytic component with advanced analytic applications and big data analysis in 40 languages by revealing valuable data accurately using statistical modeling, machine learning and linguistics from unstructured text.
"Zoomd's next action platform for web browsing promises to be as groundbreaking as the pinch and swipe gestures were for smartphones," said Carl Hoffman (News - Alert), CEO of Basis Technology.
