In an era where mobility is becoming paramount there is no shortage of news in the mobile commerce space.  Let’s dive in, and take a look at the week that was in Mobile Commerce.

TMC’s (News - Alert) Michael Guta reported this week on an exciting new analytics tool.  Square is offering resources for small business and large enterprises.  Square offers various metrics such as top sellers and the most lucrative times of day. 

Bitcoin is embracing mobile commerce by acquiring talent from Slovenian Blockchain Explorer. The new additions are tasked with developing the Coinbase API.  The API processes Bitcoin operations, some include storing, selling and buying Bitcoins.

Gluten Free Therapeutics is embracing mobile commerce to provide its customers with an easy way to purchase products from wherever they wish.  Gluten Free Therapeutics provides people with celiac disease and those living a gluten-free lifestyle with nutritional supplements.

Founded in 1994 by brothers Darren and Jason Hill, WebLinc announced funding in the amount of $6 million from Safeguard Scientifics. WebLinc plans to use the money to improve their commerce platform, enlarge marketing and sales teams as well as the onboarding of third party integration partners.

Device routing systems may not be a term you are familiar with but from a consumer standpoint this type of system ensures web traffic is routed to the proper device.  Netbiscuits is improving its routing system to offer the optimum browsing experience on the device of one’s choosing.  This improves the Web experience for both businesses and customers as well.   

TMC’s Jonathan Keane (News - Alert) reported on an exciting announcement from FreedomPay.  FreedomPay has accomplished a first in North America, a point-to-point encryption platform that is PCI (News - Alert)-certified for North American Commerce.
