Circle Officially Launches Bitcoin App

While there are still plenty of people who aren’t convinced that Bitcoin is going to have a future, there are also plenty of people who see the digital currency as big business. One such company that has a history of dealing with Bitcoin is Circle. The company launched its own Bitcoin bank earlier this year and now the firm has official launched mobile applications for both iOS and Android (News - Alert).

Circle has launched the applications so that they are currently only available in the United States, but it says it is going to be using other languages soon. The goal of the application is to have as many features as possible—as many features as its full online offering already has. The difference between what Circle offers and what others are bringing is that Circle has better integration with regular banks and credit card companies.

This integration is one of the reasons Circle has become so popular in the Bitcoin business, because it makes it quite a bit easier to deposit and withdraw and actually get a good bit of money from the business of Bitcoin. The wallet application that was launched by the firm has these features and also brings the more functions such as the ability to request money and carry out transactions using QR codes.

Because Circle wants its application to be more about money and less about Bitcoin, there is a feature in the app that allows users to request and send money via email. The really good news for some is that if the other person is already a Circle user the transfer can basically be carried out with one touch. When using the newer iPhones with this app, users will also be able to secure their accounts using the Touch ID fingerprint reader. Beyond that, Circle says the app is almost identical on both iOS and Anroid.
