Vestique Selects Springboard Retail for POS and Retail Management

One issue that a lot of smaller companies beginning to expand have is keeping track of many various components. It is not easy to move from keeping track of inventory from one store to multiple locations. Another issue is being able to train all employees in the same manner so that there is a feeling of conformity regardless of which location you shop at.

There are a number of options these days that customers can take advantage of when making their purchases. Between shopping online and having serval types of stores to choose from, customers have come to expect a good customer experience when they shop.

This is definitely an area that technology has been able to be a great help. Point-of-sale, or POS is the location at which a retail transaction is completed. It is the point at which a customer makes a payment to the merchant in exchange for goods or services. The POS in various retail industries uses customized hardware and software as per their requirements. Retailers may utilize weighing scales, scanners, electronic and manual cash registers.

Originally, that is what POS used to be. Today, we see POS systems having the capabilities of delivering so much more. One such retailer that is taking advantage of this technology is a woman’s fashion boutique called Vestique. Five years ago two friends, Morgan Lashley and Caroline King launched an e-commerce boutique. Today the two enterprising women have seven brick and mortar stores across North and South Carolina.

Springboard Retail is a company which developed software designed to work at the core of successful, customer-centric retail enterprises of the future. This week, Vestique announced that it has chosen Springboard’s platform for aligning multi-store inventory, training employees and improving customer engagement as they expand their locations across the Southeastern U.S. Springboard’s Cloud POS will be used to manage multi-channel and handle inventory control, as well as reporting all in real-time.

Some of the options that Morgan and Caroline be able to take advantage of include;

  • Real-Time Inventory Control and Visibility: Springboard enables Vestique to better manage its buying habits based on insights of what’s really selling across different stores. With Springboard’s on demand inventory management and reporting, Vestique can better target and serve their customers, buy more efficiently, and cut down on the need for special sales to move unwanted inventory - increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Distributed Order Management: With Springboard, Vestique can fill orders placed on their website from any one of their stores. Further, associates can place customer orders in the store for items in stock elsewhere.
  • Easy, Custom Reporting to Increase Sales and Profitability: Vestique uses Springboard’s customized reports to track real-time actionable data on daily store performance, customers and inventory – to understand what is selling and who is buying, for smarter merchandising and special offers that increase profit margins.

Morgan mentions an important factor when she stated ease of use. A business that has seasonal employees usually has them for a short period of time. Having a system such as Springboard’s platform makes it easy to quickly, easily and efficiently train new employees which adds to the customer experience. This, in turn, adds to the business’ profit margin, seems like a win/win situation.
