Magpi (formerly DataDyne), a provider of cloud-based mobile data collection and communication applications, unveiled Magpi 2.0, its next-generation mobile data collection and communication application suite designed to enable cost-effective and advanced mobile data connection anywhere and on any device.
Field workers have been using the Magpi application suite to seamlessly collect data and build broadcast messaging campaigns. Unlike others who use paper forms to collect data, Magpi users can easily create a form from Magpi’s web dashboard, implement it in any mobile device and begin collecting and syncing data within minutes.
Magpi said field workers from organizations such as the World Bank, the CDC, the American Red Cross, and the World Health Organization have all been using its application suite. The latest version of the Magpi suite takes real-time creation of multi-device mobile apps and geo-data information collection to commercial markets.
By deploying the Magpi suite, users not only save time and money but also bring down the usage of paper which is greatly beneficial to the environment. Since paper is not used, data and decisions flow quicker which also maximizes productivity and minimizes downtime.
The latest version of Magpi is compatible with iOS, Android and Symbian (News - Alert) systems and is integrated with SMS and web-entry data collection capabilities in over seventeen different languages. Forms can even be created with multiple question types like numbers, multiple choice, geo-location and sub-forms and can be instantly analyzed and published.
The Auto-Share feature seamlessly syncs forms to connected devices while the Auto-Update feature systematically updates form changes in connected devices.
Joel Selanikio, co-founder and CEO at Magpi said, “We’re excited to reintroduce ourselves as Magpi and unveil the next generation of our award-winning product with new features. Field workers across the globe use Magpi to collect and communicate information, saving time, money, and lives, and we are committed to positively impacting the world through technology.”
