The Mocana (News - Alert) Atlas platform provides businesses with a shell of security for their mobile apps while providing ease of access to those apps for end users. It allows users to take advantage of businesses' back-end systems through their mobile devices while also having protection from multiple levels of security. The big question Mocana wanted to know recently was: How does Atlas improve the return on investment for its clients? It hired Forrester (News - Alert) to find out.
Forrester, a technology and market research company, analyzed a U.S.-based product manufacturing firm in its latest total economic impact (TEI) study. It found that Mocana Atlas helped provide the client with a risk-adjusted ROI of 335 percent which is attributed largely to productivity gains. Ranjeet Vidwans, vice president of marketing at Mocana, commented on the high return found within the research.
“The largest contributor to that ROI figure is increased productivity, which is in part a result of having more people actually using the enterprise mobile apps. While security, rapid development and the platform’s other features are essential to mobilizing the enterprise, if the workforce does not embrace and use the apps because it is too frustrating to get connected and stay connected, then it’s all irrelevant,” Vidwans said.
He continues by noting that the “Mocana ON (News - Alert)” experience is one that provides its clients' customers with an ability to access mobile apps whenever they need them. Access needs to be consistent and easy to use, he says, or the security that Mocana Atlas can provide will mean nothing in the long run.
Forrester stated a number of benefits mobile app users and the client itself experienced that are directly connected to the security platform. In addition to productivity improvements, users were able to easily recover their lost PIN codes, and the research expects that the client will see more sales because of improved user experiences with apps. The client has also reduced its app testing costs and, subsequently, has lowered its time to market by reducing development costs.
