The AT&T (News - Alert) Partner Exchange has come out with a trio of new capabilities on the automation and self-service front in an effort to help businesses become more efficient and effective. That includes new application programming interfaces, expansion of its Ethernet capabilities, and additional self-service support tools.
A new API from AT&T Partner Exchange allows solution providers to check service availability and generate quotes for AT&T Internet Access services in near real time. Solution providers can embed this capability into their own sales tools.
The switch Ethernet offering, meanwhile, now features faster speeds for any-to-any, hub-and-spoke, and point-to-point deployments. There is now near-instant site qualification via the AT&T Partner Exchange portal. The same portal also expedites quotes. All of the above, AT&T notes, allows for faster time to market.
As for the support piece, that involves the introduction of a tool called the Support Center. “The new Support Center tool underscores the enormous priority AT&T Partner Exchange has put on enablement to help deliver the best possible experience for solution providers,” said Darren Sandford, senior vice president of operations at AireSpring (News - Alert). “These types of resources give us added visibility and flexibility to effectively manage and streamline operations.”
The AT&T Partner Exchange is a reseller program through which AT&T delivers its advanced services to solution providers. Those solution providers, in turn, bundle those services with hardware, software, and managed services to deliver complete and customized solutions for business customers.
The news above follows by just a month the release of new mobility tools from AT&T Partner Exchange. That includes the ability to activate AT&T compatible mobility devices on existing accounts; the ability to manage account information from a mobility subscriber list to make billing and reporting more accurate; and a mobility equipment catalog to provide the most current information on mobility accessories, devices, and SIM cards to activate equipment faster.
