There’s no excuse to suffer from poor network performance in today’s digital world. Many firms get hung up on the notion of network modernization, but the reality is that moving to multi-gigabit Ethernet does not require ripping out legacy infrastructure. The process quickly brings a business “up to speed.” And, with the weekend upon us, there’s no better time than the present to take a look at the week that was in Multi-gigabit Ethernet news: Time for the Week in Review!

It’s not just the enterprise benefiting from the boost multi-gigabit Ethernet enables, but gaming as well. And this week, TMC’s (News - Alert) Paula Bernier delved into the new ASRock motherboard, Fatal1ty X299 Professional Gaming i9. Leveraging the AQtion 10 Gb/s Ethernet controller, the new release supports up to 5G Ethernet. Anton Shilov notes in a recent review, “Installing this specific controller on a motherboard that is priced significantly below $500 makes a great deal of sense, as 10 GbE infrastructure (routers, switches) is still very expensive for most users (even those who buy Intel (News - Alert) Core X-series CPEs), whereas 2.5G and 5G equipment promises to be a lot cheaper.” All the details are HERE.

With network modernization on the minds of many, Aquantia (News - Alert) announced that by way of a partnership with WPI has expanded its presence in the Asian market. “The Aquantia portfolio of high-speed connectivity solutions is a strong line for WPI, and we are particularly pleased to introduce the new AQtion NICs in Asia after having received such a positive reception following their recent launch,” said IJ Hsu, Executive Vice President of Marketing at WPI.” Complete coverage is HERE.

Rivet is set to support 10gbps platforms with its Killer brand solutions. A firm with roots in hardware has made software development a focus in recent years, and will utilize this innovation to enable the multi-gigabit Ethernet gaming experience. Everything you need to know is HERE.

Aquantia has had a busy week, culminating with a showcase of its newest partnership at Computex. Aquantia is targeting somewhat underserved market segments: small office Home office (SoHo) and Small and Midsized Business (SMB). JuAn Tseng, General Manager of Cameo Communications Inc., exclaimed, “The Aquantia Cameo switch platform is going to give SoHo and SMB users another important building block to create the Multi-Gig networks which enhances entertainment, creativity and productivity. We are pleased to partner with Aquantia on this new platform.” Complete insight and analysis is HERE.

Remember to stop by early and often for all things multi-gigabit Ethernet. See you next week!
