December 01, 2017
D-Link (News - Alert) ANZ launched the AC5300 MU-MIMO COBRA, its fastest-ever modem router. The COBRA, also referred to as the DSL-5300, was designed to supply a PowerZone of high speed Wi-Fi connectivity throughout a home.
Billed as three wireless routers in one, the COBRA features 2.4GHz wireless band offering speeds up to 1Gbps. Along with that, two different 5GHZ wireless bands capable of delivering more than 2Gbps, perfect for complete coverage while moving throughout an entire residence.
“Flowing on from the heritage of our multi-award winning TAIPAN Modem Router, the COBRA adds even more bite with the latest generation of MU-MIMO Wave 2 wireless support and ramps up the speeds even further to a whopping 5.3Gbps combined across its three Wi-Fi bands,” said D-Link ANZ MD, Graeme Reardon.
Reardon went on to add: “It’s also been designed with the NBN in mind so its 100 percent built for that purpose if required. There’s no compromise of any kind with COBRA.”
The feature-rich COBRA includes a super-quick quad-core processor with the newest MU-MIMO Wave 2 Tri-Band Wi-Fi for homes that have an overabundance of connectivity action. Additionally, users have full connection to 4K HD video, lag-free gaming and high-quality audio, concurrently. Installation is seamless, taking just minutes with a setup wizard guiding users along the way.
“COBRA also includes premium features such as Advanced AC SmartBeam technology, which dramatically improves coverage by directing bandwidth directly towards your devices, and Advanced QoS which efficiently distributes the maximum bandwidth to the devices that require it," shares Reardon.
Currently, the DSL-5300 is available for in Australia and New Zealand.
