Zyxel Releases MoCA 2.0 Bonded Products

Zyxel Communications announced the launch of a comprehensive MoCA 2.0 bonded solution, allowing solution providers to deliver safe, gigabit wired and wireless connectivity through entire homes. The new line includes a Gigabit Ethernet wireless gateway, Wi-Fi extender, and Ethernet adapter.

Combined, the three solutions will distribute end-to-end gigabit connectivity needed to support such premium services as 4K video streaming, online and virtual reality (VR) gaming and augmented reality (AR) applications. So, what makes these new offerings from Zyxel, a provider of broadband networking, Internet access and connected home products, connect the way they do?

The AC2200 Gigabit Ethernet MoCA Gateway (News - Alert) (EMG6765-Q10A) adds on the MoCA 2.0 solution. Using the homes established in-wall coaxial cables, a wireless backbone is created to support dependable Wi-Fi extensions. Data transfer rates are 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1,733 Mbps at 5 GHz and features TR-069 and TR181 standard support for the EMG6765-Q10A.

The Hybrid MU-MIMO AC1300 MoCA 2.0 Extender (WAP7205) offers concurrent data transfer rates of 400 Mbps for 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps for 5 GHz on more than one device. The embedded MoCA 2.0 assists 1.4 Gbps coax wired backhaul through the extender and gateway for a complete home gigabit Wi-Fi network.

Finally, tying the solutions together, the MoCA 2.0 Ethernet Adapter (HLA4205) is a coax home network adapter to transform home coax cabling to a 2.4 Gbps network backbone. This allows users to build a whole network environment filled with built-in coaxial infrastructure. A Plug-n-Play operation allows usability of wireless backhaul, 4K video streaming, and online gaming.
