Recently, Emerson (News - Alert) Network Power introduced the NetSure 721 DC power system, providing Emerson’s state-of-the-art controller, which facilitates improved monitoring and energy management capabilities for wireless (LTE (News - Alert), 3G, DAS, MTSO), wireline (small CO, cable) and data center applications.
Emerson a company that supports voice and communications networks with reliable DC power.
Offering the most rigorous network-power applications, with an unparalleled breadth of intelligently engineered DC power, distribution, control and monitoring systems, Emerson Network Power (News - Alert) has created on trusted names Lorain, Actura and PS to create the NetSure DC Power technology platform.
With 3500 watt rectifiers, the modular NetSure 721 power system offers up to 4000 amps for -48 volt systems. It is equipped with a DC to DC converter option for up to 480 amps at +24 volts. Offered with Emerson Network Power’s industry-leading eSure high-efficiency rectifiers, it also consists of the ACU+ controller that allows full-site monitoring, energy and battery management and improves the overall energy efficiency of the site.
“The keys to truly optimizing performance and efficiency in today’s network are visibility and technology intelligence. The NetSure721 DC power system is best-in-class in both regards with its ability to monitor fluctuating conditions and adjust accordingly to deliver real-world energy efficiency,” said David Michlovic, director of product management for Emerson Network Power’s Energy Systems business.
The company also recently announced Cisco's verification of the 3U CompactPCI (News - Alert) for unified communications functionality. This functionality is safe enough for use in federal and defense organizations. Running on VMWare's own virtualization solution, Emerson's CPCI7203 just took the last step needed for verification testing to run Cisco's (News - Alert) Unified Communications Manager. This will bring forth a new era of collaboration between different government agencies.
Concentrating on network operations, the verification also opens up the CPCI7203 for use in defense applications.
