It was a busy week in the Network Management sector. Here are some of the major stories from TMCnet.
There are new DIGISOL cloud-based security and management solutions from Smartlink Network Systems. They let small- and medium-sized companies achieve easier network management, as well as monitor compliance needs. DIGISOL plans to introduce end-point security solutions coupled with the cloud-based solution for malware screening, and peer-to-peer application monitoring.
In another story, Lantiq is collaborating with ASSIA to maximize the performance of vectored VDSL technology. VDSL provides high broadband access.
It was also reported that CDNetworks has announced Russia Acceleration. It offers website content and cloud applications from around the world to Russia in milliseconds. It provides fast Web application downloads and acceleration of cloud content. Several CDNetworks customers are already using CDNetworks Global Cloud Acceleration to reach Russian customers and employees.
TMCnet reported, too, that Pravail Network Security Intelligence was released recently by Arbor Networks Inc. Pravail NSI (News - Alert) offers economical, enterprise-wide visibility into a network, as well as insight into applications, content and users. This solution claims to stop advanced threats that are usually designed to evade existing perimeter-based security defenses.
And Napatech, which provides intelligent adapters for network monitoring and analysis, recently announced that its adapters allow vendors to design high-performance appliances using standard off-the-shelf server hardware. The company has intelligent network analysis adapters for 40 Gbps, 10 Gbps and 1 Gbps networks. The Napatech (News - Alert) adapters can be run on Linux, FreeBSD or Windows operating systems. These adapters are presently serving over 100 original equipment manufacturer vendor customers.
