Dorel Industries, a Canadian-based juvenile products and bicycle company, stated that it will leverage AT&T’s (News - Alert) global MPLS network to connect its offices and integrate its worldwide operations and multiple divisions.

AT&T was selected to connect more than 40 of Dorel’s offices located in North America, Europe and Asia. The AT&T MPLS-enabled Virtual Private Network (VPN) would ensure that Dorel employees experienced improved collaboration and productivity enabling shared access of resources across the organization.

David Aspinall, Canada Sales Center vice president for AT&T remarked, “AT&T and Dorel Industries have enjoyed a strong alliance for many years. We are excited that Dorel will now benefit from a more agile, converged network that will connect its worldwide offices, provide added flexibility and ultimately result in an improved customer experience.”

VPNs from AT&T utilize MPLS technology and class of service (CoS) to provide users with maximum control and flexibility over their network performance. AT&T is also renowned for its reliability that can let its customers, like Dorel, focus on diversity, innovation and on creating quality products and brands worldwide.

Ian Farthing, vice president of corporate services at Dorel Industries stated, “Our switch to AT&T’s VPN is the cornerstone of a long-lasting and successful partnership. This move allows us to take advantage of its superior networking capabilities to generate significant cost savings for the company and allow for our offices all over the world to work seamlessly together.”

Some of the notable benefits and features of AT&T MPLS-enabled VPN are: ability to quickly scale to satisfy business growth or merger integration; easily deploy business continuity options via remote access and mobile Internet; extend the VPN to mobile devices, so they are simply an additional endpoint on the network; consistent performance across locations and devices; flexible management options allow one to select the level of manage their business needs; and more.
