Internet shopping has long been accepted as a workable alternative to traditional shopping – and it’s no wonder companies that provide online marketplaces are smiling all the way to the bank.

But setting up and maintaining an ecommerce business is not easy. It requires good infrastructure and the latest technology.

Dafiti, a well-known name in the e-commerce fashion circle in Brazil, recently selected Level 3 to improve its hosting and infrastructure. According to the agreement, Level 3 will put to work its Premier Elite data centers in Brazil to offer Internet access and data redundancy services to Dafiti.

With an expanding e-commerce business, Dafiti sought to strengthen its ecommerce infrastructure and provide enhanced online services. Level 3 technology will help the company to improve its Web presence.

The service by Level 3 automatically forwards traffic to a site performing well at that moment, ensuring potential customers have a smooth stay online that remains so throughout their purchase process on Dafiti websites.

This technological advancement to Dafiti’s site is expected to provide stability to the company’s e-commerce business and increase sales. Level 3 has its data center facilities in Cotia, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and will honor this agreement with these facilities.

Level 3 hosting services allow users to manage their equipment and systems within the company’s data centers.

“We are committed to providing advanced services and technologies for e-commerce portals in Brazil and in the world, contributing to the betterment of a market that has grown considerably, and improving the consumer experience," said Marcos Malfatti, senior sales vice-president at Level 3 Brazil. "We are pleased to support an e-commerce leader such as Dafiti.”

The company reportedly used its Vyvx VenueNet+ technology for a live broadcast of Super Bowl XLVII on February 3.
