This week we have seen how companies are improving their solutions and products to accommodate the ever-changing platform in 2013.

Recently, CTI (News - Alert) Foods, a provider of custom food solutions to the foodservice and restaurant industry, turned to Exinda help integrate videoconferencing into its applications and overcome issues due to bandwidth requirements. Exinda is a supplier of WAN optimization and network control solutions, which for CTI, will help it better communicate with new locations and make integration easier. It will also allow CTI to conduct high-definition (HD) video conferencing and VoIP services that will work alongside other applications.

Aryaka (News - Alert), a provider of networks, will be used by Calypso to optimize the running of applications like CP over SSH, HTTP, HTTPS and subversion (SVN). Calypso’s solutions are utilized by banks, prime brokers, buy-side firms and treasury service companies worldwide, and so the induction of Aryaka will help improve its overall network and decrease costs substantially. According to Brad Taylor, global director of Technology Operations for Calypso, “It made better sense to go with a service model like Aryaka for many reasons and not just cost and performance. With Aryaka's quick turn-up we saw immediate results. SCP over SSH runs 20X faster over Aryaka. SVN source-code checkout runs 13X faster."

TDS Telesco, the seventh largest local exchange company in the U.S., is pinning its recent success to issuing a network policy expansion order to Sandvine (News - Alert). With Forbes recognizing TDS as one of America’s most trustworthy companies, it has a lot to thank Sandvine, as it has helped maximize its customers’ experiences and optimize its network infrastructure. By using Sandvine’s Fairshare traffic management and business intelligence products, TDS has been able to use this critical insight to improve the delivery of high quality experiences with its customers used on a day-to-day basis.

Lastly in this week’s news, it has been accounted that tier-1 network provider, EuNetworks, will establish a Point of Presence (PoP) at the LDeX1 data center in North West London. London Data Exchange (LDeX), a provider of data centers and collocation hosting solutions in London, will be welcoming euNetwork’s high capacity low latency networks into its data center. “Connecting to LDeX1 enables us to quickly deliver high speed network services on our facilities based infrastructure to the companies who collocate in or connect to the facility, enabling them to benefit from bandwidth without limits,” said Uwe Nickl, chief marketing officer at euNetworks.
