Apperian, a provider of enterprise mobile application management solutions, has been selected by BT (News - Alert), a provider of communications solutions, to launch BT Mobile Application Management powered by Apperian.

Under this agreement, BT will offer Mobile Application Management services from Apperian (News - Alert) to its customers worldwide.

BT Mobile Application Management powered by Apperian is a key part of BT’s Enterprise Mobility Portfolio. With this platform, BT allows enterprises to authenticate, secure, manage and deploy mobile apps through an easy-to-use portal.

The launch of the service coincides with the launch of BT’s BYOD campaign – Beyond Your Device. The mobile network and application management solution helps BT deploy enterprise applications on corporate or employee owned mobile devices through a familiar consumer style app store.

With Apperian’s enterprise mobile app management (MAM) platform, BT is able to manage the complete lifecycle of corporate mobile apps.  It also empowers global organizations to protect and manage mobile apps and data without requiring intrusive and excessive technology on users’ devices.

The solution will help BT support its enterprise customers adopting mobility by providing them with capabilities to deploy enterprise applications on corporate or employee-owned mobile devices through a familiar consumer style app store experience.

Thanks to BT Mobile Application Management, employees are able to easily find and access mobile apps through private and enterprise branded app stores. The solution ensures that only the right apps are offered to the right employees, thus creating a more productive workforce, the company said.
