UnionPay, a premier bankcard association headquartered in Shanghai, recently selected Radware (News - Alert)'s FastView to cut page load time for its website up to 65 percent.

Founded in 2002, UnionPay has today become the world's largest card brand with 3.53 billion cards in circulation. In order to meet the tremendous growth of businesses, the firm increased the amount of information on its website. This led to increased page size and slow site performance, causing negative impact on the brand perception.

UnionPay now needed a solution that could reduce page load times and improve the overall customer experience.

Officials said that after undergoing stringent comparison and testing with several vendors, UnionPay finally opted for Radware's FastView.

FastView is a web performance optimization solution. It enables faster websites and web-based applications. It transforms front-end optimization from a lengthy and complex process to an automated function.

In a press statement, John Zhao, General Manager of North China, Radware, said: "FastView delivers simplified, streamlined and optimized web pages with the industry's fastest load time." "By deploying this effective web performance solution, UnionPay and their customers can benefit from a significantly improved Quality of Experience."

After successfully deploying FastView, UnionPay has further acquired additional Radware solutions including LinkProof , DefensePro and its Application Delivery.

"At one point, we considered implementing manual optimization in-house, but it was too intensive on internal resources. So, with Radware's seamless implementation, zero downtime and one single point of contact throughout the lifecycle, it was a simple decision," said Mr. KeShi Yu manager, colligation and management department of UnionPay.

Earlier this month, TMCnet reported that Radware has announced the latest version of DefensePro, which is a real-time, behavioral based attack mitigation device that protects enterprise infrastructures against emerging cyber-attacks.
