As networks are performing at higher speeds and mobile adoption rates continue to rise, operators are having to increasingly rely on network analytics with accurate traffic classification to gain critical insight into the applications and trends in their networks.

Sandvine's (News - Alert) expertise in traffic classification has caught the attention of three Middle East operators- two mobile operators and one DSL provider- who have reportedly chosen the company for its network analytics and reporting capabilities. Two of the customers were won over in December and the other during November 2012.

The company's network policy control solutions, which are deployed in more than 200 networks in over 85 countries, focus on protecting and enhancing the Internet experience and add intelligence to fixed, mobile and converged communications service provider networks, enabling network costs to be reduced and revenues increased.

Its equipment and software help operators understand network traffic better, increase subscriber satisfaction, manage network congestion and more.

"With accurate traffic classification, Web-based reporting and executive style dashboards, operators have full confidence that they can measure the metrics that matter to make strategic network decisions in the future," Tom Donnelly, chief operating officer, sales and global services at Sandvine.

With Network Analytics, operators will have access to a variety of focused dashboards that delve into the network and come up with industry-leading granular insight.

While Sandvine's traffic management products allows operators to optimize traffic and enhance subscriber experience without compromising on regulatory compliance, its usage management allows operators to maximize existing revenue streams and create new revenue sources.

With the Middle East forecasted to have over 16 million LTE (News - Alert) connections by 2015, Sandvine's network policy solutions may well prove to be an ace.

Sandvine, a provider of intelligent broadband network solutions, has announced the launch of the Routing Efficiency Dashboard, which will provide detailed insights into routing and transit links that affect operation expenses on both fixed and mobile networks in its Network Analytics library.
