Trailer Park Deploys Aspera Software Solutions

Aspera (News - Alert), a provider of solutions to move big data at maximum speed, stated that its suite of software solutions built on the patented fasp technology have been deployed by Trailer Park, a media marketing company, in order to accelerate materials submission and delivery.

Because of Aspera, Trailer Park’s high profile client base are able to receive a complete set of secure content ingest and final project delivery options along with Trailer Park acquiring complete visibility over the entire process of receiving content from clients and returning completed projects.

According to Aspera, its fasp transfer technology removes the fundamental shortcomings of conventional, TCP-based file transfer technologies such as FTP and HTTP. Because of that fasp transfers achieve speeds that are hundreds of times faster than FTP/HTTP and provide a guaranteed delivery time regardless of file size, transfer distance or network conditions, including transfers over satellite, wireless, and inherently long distance and unreliable international links.

Trailer Park felt that the standard FTP it used to complete transfers to and from their media clients was slow and at times Internet bottlenecks made it unreliable. It also looked for greater visibility and control over the entire transfer environment.

After realizing that Aspera suite of solutions met its stringent performance and security requirements, Trailer Park reportedly selected Aspera Share for file sharing and ingest; Connect Server for high-speed web-based transfers; faspex for person-to-person file-based collaboration; and Consoler for centralized management and monitoring of everything.
