APCON (News - Alert), a major player in intelligent network monitoring and security support solutions, has launched INTELLATAP 8 port tap with advanced on-board monitoring services, as well as expanded data analysis and storage features across all of APCON’s monitoring switches.
Officials with APCON said that INTELLATAP 8 port tap with two additional monitoring ports incorporates the advantages of optical tapping and native aggregation, filtering and other advanced services.
Thanks to this unique capability, customers are easily able to connect more network monitoring points to existing tools without requiring additional switching equipment, resulting in lower entry cost and less signal degradation.
Company officials claimed that the new INTELLATAP blade improves both reliability and security with full duplex passive optical taps.
The company also continues to build upon its flexible and scalable monitoring solutions by expanding INTELLASTORE, a network monitoring switch with built-in Wireshark network analyzer tool to support all APCON Series 3000 switches.
According to company officials, APCON’s INTELLASTORE intelligent monitoring features 1.5TB of on-board data storage and built-in analysis software, allowing customers to monitor remote locations that can aggregate multiple data sources or transfer data to the central analysis point, or analyze the data directly on site.
“As a pioneer in the intelligent network monitoring space, we have a commitment to constantly push the envelope to design solutions with intelligence, flexibility and scalability,” said Richard Rauch, president and CEO of APCON.
Rauch said that by expanding the company’s tap portfolio and INTELLASTORE features, customers have more options for monitoring architecture deployments, enhanced analysis, and storage options for vast economic savings.
Earlier in May, APCON had announced the latest major release of TITAN EP, plus a first look at the application on a mobile platform. TITAN EP is the only multi-switch management system in the industry that allows enterprises to manage, share and monitor all APCON switches and devices across the entire network with a 360-degree view from a single point of control.
The new TITAN EP release ensures full compatibility with the recent APCON Firmware release, which includes a new 40G inter-switch trunk solution to help enterprises support security and performance monitoring tools in the 40G network environment.
