Riverbed Recognized by EMA Research for Network Performance Management

Riverbed (News - Alert) Technology provides application and network management solutions that include Cascade application-aware network performance management (NPM) and OPNET application performance management (APM (News - Alert)) product portfolios.

The network management solutions deliver a combination of end-user experience monitoring, transaction tracing, deep component monitoring, and IT infrastructure/network management. Considering the progress the company has made in the network performance management services, Riverbed has been named a "Value Leader" by the Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) Radar report for Application-Aware (News - Alert) Network Performance Management (ANPM) Q1 2013.

The company has earned the highest aggregate score in total ANPM functionality for its richly integrated, scalable and proactive application and network performance monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting solutions.

Riverbed, according to company officials, is the only vendor that has been awarded for the best virtualization support for extending application-aware visibility into virtual computing and application environments.

The recognition was given considering the core capabilities that network engineers, managers and operators need in order to recognize, characterize, troubleshoot and communicate application performance as they transit the network.

According to the report, competing ANPM offerings require both additional features and significant configuration to provide the same level of visibility into virtualized compute environments and architectures that Riverbed Performance Management solutions deliver natively.
