Cyta Selects InfoVista's Unified Network and Application Performance Management Solutions

Cyta, a communications service provider in Cyprus, is now using InfoVista’s unified network and application performance management solutions to strengthen IP and Ethernet VPN service quality and customer experiences.

Established as a regional telecommunications hub in the Eastern Mediterranean region, Cyta delivers a wide range of communications solutions, including fixed and mobile telephony, Internet service provisioning and broadband applications. The CSP (News - Alert) has special focus in international submarine fiber optic cables.


InfoVista’s unified platform for network and application performance management now helps the operator ensure the delivery of premium, high-value Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN services in compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

Cyta also benefits from InfoVista’s ability to monitor infrastructure and applications from multiple vendors. This is especially good for the CSP as it relies on several vendors like Cisco, Juniper and Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) for its network components.

Thanks to the InfoVista platform, Cyta is able to improve overall customer experience, thereby preventing churn, increasing revenue with high-value customers and growing its business. The capacity monitoring and planning capabilities have equipped Cyta with actionable intelligence required to make just-in-time network investments and control CAPEX.

Further, InfoVista has enabled CSP’s network engineering and operations teams to gain visibility into application performance so they can efficiently monitor detailed flow metrics and analyze service usage data. They can understand how applications are transported over the network and can address performance issues while reducing the potential for costly outages.

The network performance management solution has helped the operator deliver sophisticated service-level reporting tailored to customers’ exact needs, monitor both present and future resource usage, and enable early warnings on potential performance degradation.

Cyta also expanded its troubleshooting capabilities with 5View NetFlow and 5View Service Data Manager (SDM). 5View SDM is designed to collect, process and report on the massive volumes of real-time data generated by thousands of flow and application measurement sources found in CSPs’ networks, the company said.
