With enterprise networks becoming more complex, big data and virtualization increasing, it is more necessary than before to monitor network performance and security. Poor application performance leads to a dip in business performance, which in turn is reflected in ROI and productivity. Network visibility solutions like could well turn the tables.

Dubai-based Comguard is looking to change the way Middle Eastern enterprises and service providers monitor their networks. As an authorized distributor, it will now deliver Ixia's (News - Alert) Anue Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) suite of network monitoring switches and the GTP Session Controller (GSC) to its customers in the Middle East.

“Increased visibility into the network has become critical for IT organizations. Corporate IT teams need comprehensive and flexible access to network data if they are to effectively monitor, manage and maximize their network resources,” said Paul O’Reilly, director of sales for Ixia’s Network Visibility Solutions (News - Alert).

While the NTO solutions equip network engineers to meet the growing challenge of testing, assessing and monitoring complex, high-performance networks with limited access points, the GSC enables mobile carriers to gain better insight and control over individual user sessions in order to increase customers’ quality of experience.

Network monitoring switches, also known as network packet brokers, ensure that each monitoring tool gets exactly the right data needed for analysis. This provides network operators with maximum visibility into both physical and virtual networks, saves valuable IT time and maximizes return on investment.

With user-mobility increasing, mobile carriers require increased visibility into their networks, as well as a way to view and piece together data coming from multiple towers. The GSC is designed to help optimize mobile networks by providing scalability and network visibility into 4G LTE (News - Alert) networks.

“These solutions provide leading network visibility platforms that offer clarity into physical and virtual production networks for improved performance, security, resiliency, and application delivery of cloud, data center, and service provider networks,” noted Jayadevan K., senior vice president, value business at Comguard.

The partnership with Ixia is expected to help Comguard to further expand its market base with innovations for equipment manufacturers, service providers, enterprises, and government agencies.
