Network Critical Now a Member of Riverbed Technology Alliance Program

Network Critical, a provider of packet broker and TAP technology, stated that as a new member of the Riverbed (News - Alert) Technology Alliance (RTA) program it now has the chance to work closely with Riverbed Technology, a provider of application performance infrastructure, to design and develop new applications and products that can equip customers with reliable, accurate, and efficient access to network links.

The Riverbed Technology Alliance is a select group of Riverbed partners who have come together to develop, market, and deliver solutions to enterprise customers. The alliance hopes to find new ways to overcome complex application, network, and storage problems and will also be offering  powerful customer solutions that drive revenue and value to both its partner members and Riverbed.

Katie Colbert, senior director of global alliances at Riverbed, remarked, "Riverbed and its partners are focused on giving global organizations the flexibility to host applications and data in the most optimal locations while ensuring applications perform as expected with location-independent computing. Network Critical and Riverbed make it easy for organizations to turn distance and location into a competitive advantage by letting business objectives – not technical constraints – drive where and how applications and data are hosted and delivered for optimal business performance."

As a RTA program member, Network Critical will be working to optimize network monitoring. Network Critical will also be able to enjoy benefits like new means to validate its products with Riverbed and engage in limited marketing and sales activities and leverage Riverbed's resources to do extensive solution testing and identify product synergies.

Network Critical recently released the Smart Network Access X (SmartNA-X) System, a flexible and customizable 1G and 10G TAP solution and now it is blending this new easy to use, flexible aggregation and filtering platform with the features of Riverbed Application Performance Platform (APP) to help increase application performance, visibility, and control.

Daniel O'Donnell, vice president of business development at Network Critical, added, "The unmatched port flexibility and operation simplicity of the SmartNA-X family together with the Riverbed Application Performance Platform (APP) helps customers utilize application tools through a single network connection without interrupting network operation.
