Recently, VSS Monitoring (News - Alert), a provider of a network tap designed to monitor all traffic within a network, successfully completed compatibility testing in the McAfee (News - Alert) Security Innovation Alliance program and has earned McAfee Compatible status for its Distributed Series and Traditional TAP product families.

"Now that we've successfully completed McAfee compatibility testing, joint customers can be assured of interoperability between our products, as well as significantly increased scale and visibility across enterprise and provider networks."

The McAfee Security Innovation Alliance is a technology partnering program that helps accelerate the development of interoperable security products and to simplify the integration of these products within complex customer environments.

When working with VSS Monitoring, customers of McAfee will be able to see multiple benefits including the ability to easily scale their McAfee network security from 1G to 10G, as well as provide real-time analysis and response through powerful line-rate time and port stamping of packets.

In the near future, the network tap provider also plans to achieve interoperability for its NPB solutions with other McAfee products.
