MATRIXX Software recently announced that it will be demonstrating its “Real-Time Charging for High Volume Mobile Data” project at the Management World 2012, in Dublin. This TM Forum (News - Alert) Catalyst project will depict how mobile broadband data traffic can be monetized in a cost-efficient manner. The company offers innovative solutions that help communications service providers address the growing volume and complexity of services requiring real-time processing.
In a release, Martin Creaner, president and CEO of the TM Forum, said that, “Cost-effectively handling the extreme growth in mobile data transactions is proving to be a significant challenge for CSPs. This Catalyst project demonstrates an innovative solution to handling the requirement for scalable, configurable and cost effective real-time charging, offering new opportunities for carriers to reduce OPEX (News - Alert), monetize broadband with tiered services, and create interactive customer experience.”
The Catalyst project will demonstrate how Communications Service Providers (CSPs) can efficiently handle the growing volumes of data traffic being driven by devices, such as tablets and smartphones. The project will present an efficient and scalable solution for addressing key concerns service providers have in relation with charging performance that mobile data explosion on Wi-Fi, LTE (News - Alert), and 3G networks have given rise to. It will also demonstrate a new architecture designed for managing large volumes of mobile data in a cost-efficient manner, while also delivering a better customer experience as a whole.
The Catalyst program provides a neutral collaborative environment for industry suppliers, system integrators, service providers and MSOs by presenting an innovative approach to developing leading-edge solutions. The program also provides a process for the providers to work together and resolve common, critical challenges in the industry. Live demonstrations are included as a key section of these short term projects.
This project is supported by the France telecom provider, Orange (News - Alert) and includes DigitalRoute, Capegemini and Vedicis as participants. The project will demonstrate fresh reference architecture for integrated policy, DPI, and online charging, and will present new opportunities for carriers to monetize broadband using tiered services, minimize OPEX, and develop interactive user experiences.
