The PalmPartner Program, brain child of leading IT-based security solutions company Fujitsu (News - Alert), welcomes its newest member in Hamilton Communications. The program is designed to channel sales, provide technical and marketing support for partners of Fujitsu through training and resource sharing among a group of distributors and compatible vendors.

PalmPartner has grown to include enough service providers and manufacturers to offer a true end-to-end IT package to its customers. It serves as a valuable solution for small and medium sized businesses that do not have the bandwidth to monitor trends in all of the pertinent IT and telecommunications industries.

PalmPartner works by offering three certification levels, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Membership includes annual technical and sales training and participation in Fujitsu's channel management program. Hamilton Communications was founded in 1901 and has grown to include seven unique company divisions and is currently operating in 17 different states.

“We are proud to be part of the PalmPartner program and are working closely with Fujitsu's PalmSecure technology,” said Dan Molliconi, vice president of Hamilton Information Systems. “After implementing the biometric authentication solutions within our own facilities across the country, we are excited to be providing our clients with this technology for access control within their own businesses."

The PalmSecure sensor, made by Fujitsu, uses a near-infrared light to capture a user's palm vein pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against the palm vein patterns of pre-registered users. A PalmSecure device is unique in that it does not require contact with the skin which makes it more hygienic and less intrusive than its competitors. Hamilton's expansion to include a state of the art biometric sensor, like PalmSecure, can only mean growth for the communications company.
