Another week comes to a close, so let’s recap what happened in network tap headlines.

This week, it was announced that Amazon Web Services (News - Alert) will now be carrying Apica’s load testing and performance monitoring solutions.

According to the report, users can now install monitoring solutions to their websites and bring down time for error, as well as avoid downtime thanks to the convenience of being able to purchase right from the Amazon marketplace.

“Amazon’s marketplace is a one-stop shop for deploying to the cloud, helping users get up and running in minutes,” said Sven Hammar, CEO at Apica. “We’re thrilled to have our solutions available on AWS Marketplace. Our testing and monitoring solutions will give customers an unprecedented look into the execution of their web applications. With the added convenience of the AWS Marketplace, customers can now access tools to diagnose their web apps and ensure optimal performance throughout the entire Web experience.”

In other news, the market for network intelligence optimization systems – including network TAP tools – has grown to more than $15 billion. However, the report notes that in order for the tools to work properly, the next-generation solution must be more scalable, efficient, cost-effective and valuable into the future.

"The individual system components interconnect with, and auto-discover one another, to interact together as a single system," said VSS Monitoring (News - Alert), which discussed the new framework in detail. "Within this system, the components in mesh configuration are self healing – traffic routing is optimized from any port to any port within the system depending on the component level utilization."

This week, TMCnet reported that Radware’s (News - Alert) DefensePro earned the Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 4+ certification issued by the Communications Security Establishment Canada.

“The Common Criteria certification EAL 4+ provides users of security solutions with the confidence that the products and services they employ to protect their IT operations were rigorously tested and independently verified to meet industry standards," said Ziv Ichilov, DefensePro product manager at Radware. "We are very pleased to attain this certification, which is further proof of Radware's commitment to deliver the most advanced data center security solutions in the market today.”

Last but not least, NetMotion released this week its first and only cellular network performance management software.

According to the report, as field employees rely on wireless networks to efficiently do their jobs, using cellular network performance management software ensures a reliable connection for better productivity.

“Locality delivers this insight so organizations can optimize mobile data deployments to increase employee productivity, make the right business decisions, and maximize their return on investment,” said Bob Hunsberger, president and CEO at NetMotion Wireless (News - Alert).
