ManageEngine’s (News - Alert) flagship network monitoring software (NMS), OpManager, will be available for preview for the first time by the attendees at Cisco (News - Alert) Live.
Delivering an easier, more affordable NMS option for enterprises, the award-winning OpManager 9 offers new features and functionality, including agent-based log file monitoring, discovery rule engine, faster discovery, IPAM plug-in, tab customization and more.
With features like faster discovery, now five times faster than before, up to 5,000 interfaces can be discovered per minute. OpManager also offers solutions that can be quickly deployed to production, as well as the ability to cover every aspect of IT without requiring multiple tools or expensive frameworks.
OpManager’s Agent-based Log File Monitoring tracks the existence of a particular string (string or a regular expression) in any log file. The new discovery rule engine can be used to associate the relevant monitors based on the type and nature of devices. It also adds an IP Address Manager as a plug-in, in addition to the existing NetFlow and Network Configuration Management plug-ins.
With IPAM Plug-in, administrators can manage their networks, IP space and switch ports to devices from a single point.
"In the past, high R&D intensive features, such as agent-based log file monitoring or word-class discovery, were only available in expensive frameworks," said Dev Anand, director of product management, NPM division at ManageEngine. "At ManageEngine, our goal is to bring these features to all enterprises irrespective of the business size and nature. We are thrilled to demo all the exciting changes to OpManager at Cisco Live, an event that promises to bring together the industry elite once again this year."
OpManager is a complete, end-to-end network and IT infrastructure monitoring platform offering advanced fault and performance management across WAN, VoIP call paths, network devices, servers, applications, databases and other IT infrastructure such as printers and UPS.
OpManager’s single-pane-of-glass console for the entire network and IT infrastructure ensures continuous and proactive management.
