Spirent (News - Alert) Communications plc has rolled out a new solution, Spirent TestCenter C100, for carriers, enterprises and equipment manufacturers.

According to the company, Spirent TestCenter C100 is a unified platform that enables best-in-class testing of application performance, mobility and security on a single box. It is for today’s secure app-aware mobile, enterprise and carrier networks and features a custom-built architecture leveraging the advantages of CPU and FPGA technologies with Spirent’s CloudCore design into a single platform that supports testing capabilities of Spirent Landslide, Spirent Avalanche and Spirent Studio.

“Our customers are under intense pressure to deliver a new generation of secure, application-aware mobile and cloud networks,” said Patrick Johnson, senior director of product marketing at Spirent. “Spirent C100 advances Spirent TestCenter’s performance architecture and is built from the ground up to ensure that test engineers have testing resources that are ready to validate the performance and scale of modern networks.”

This new solution claims to offer expanded test coverage on a single test platform, including testing of app-aware carrier Ethernet devices, next-generation firewalls, mobile and Wi-Fi networks, and video and content delivery networks (CDN) with deep packet inspection (DPI) and app-aware policy controls.

It leverages Spirent’s Performance, Availability, Security and Scale (PASS) test methodology to test carrier-class firewalls and security devices, video and Content Delivery Networks (CDN), mobile app-aware and Wi-Fi offload gateways, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and policy controls, as well as, mobile and Web applications.

Spirent Communications (News - Alert) has been offering an extensive portfolio of solutions to test data centers, cloud computing and virtualized environments, high speed Ethernet networks and services, 3G/4G wireless networks and devices, network and application security, and positioning technologies

The company officials said that they are demonstrating their C100 solution at CommunicAsia (News - Alert) 2012 in Singapore, happening through June 19-22.
