To provide global programs for conventional partners, managed service providers (MSP) and global cloud providers, F5 Networks (News - Alert) has named Westcon Group as the company’s first global distribution partner.
F5 is a supplier of Application Delivery Networking services.
Westcon has prior experience working with F5. The company has served as an F5 distributor in the Americas, EMEA and in parts of Asia Pacific.
With this new agreement, both companies will be looking to enhance their authority to distribute F5 solutions in many new countries. The agreement is also expected to strengthen the companies’ strategic relationship.
With new programs and streamlined procedures, the partnership provides a complete sales engagement process for F5’s channel and better solves global requirements, the company stated in a news release.
Both the company companies will primarily provide worldwide programs for their clients. Allowing the F5 channel to better address global market opportunities, the partnership allows clients to adopt better security engagement and competency.

TMC’s (News - Alert) Michelle Amodio recently reported that VoIP specialists at snom signed a deal with Westcon Group to distribute its IP and Lync endpoint services to Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA). Senior executives see this as a move to promote and facilitate Lync business in the aforementioned regions, as Westcon Group is now collaborating with Microsoft (News - Alert) on their Lync Hardware Catalogue.
