BRIEF: Search Underway in Angeles Forest for a Missing Motorcyclist

ACTON, Dec 25, 2010 (KTLA-TV - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A man who went for a mountain motorcycle ride Dec. 17 and didn't return is still missing and on this Christmas Day, his family is holding on to hope that he will be found.

According to his family, 49 year old Paul 'David' Harris left Acton on his 2003 Honda CBR 954 sport bike for a ride up Angeles Forest Highway.

Family members believe Harris rode up Soledad Cyn Rd to Aliso Cyn and up Angeles Forest Highway.

Harris more than likely rode to Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road to Angeles Crest Hwy to Newcomb's Ranch Restaurant.

When he did not return that evening, family members contacted L.A. County Sheriff's deputies who now consider him a 'missing person.' Harris was wearing a black motorcycle helmet, heavy clothing and a black rain suit.

It's feared that Harris may have been involved in an accident of some kind and may have gone down an embankment.

He is described as a white male, 5'10", 152lbs, blue eyes with medium brown hair with some gray.

Anyone who may have seen Harris is asked to contact L.A. County Sheriff's detective Diane Harris in the department's Missing Person's Bureau.

That number is 323-890-5500.
