Employment Website Radio Show Highlights Socially Responsible Companies Creating JobsLas Vegas, NV, Oct 31, 2011 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Flex Hour Jobs, in conjunction with Blog Talk Radio is launching Flex Hour Jobs Radio this week. It is the newest form of new media, the audio version of the internet blog. The Radio Show, created as a complement to the Flex Hour Jobs website highlights the many companies which are doing the right thing and committing to hiring older Job Seekers and work- from- home Job Seekers who want to work professionally as well as tend to the other demands of their lives. A recent study from the Alfred P. Sloan Work and Family Institute, found that one in four women is the primary breadwinner of the American family. As cited on CBS's Sixty Minutes in June ,over 25% of America's children live in poverty ( with household incomes below $22,000), so the problem really lies in employing these single parents. Founder of Flex Hour Jobs, Jacqueline Sloboda, believes that "if more companies were dedicated to standing socially responsible and offering flexible work schedules , these moms or single caregivers to kids or aging parents could thrive in better paying jobs; the sad alternative for them is often public assistance, food stamps and Medicaid." Many of these Job Seekers are also deeply under water on their home mortgages and thereby bound geographically to their current home town. Professional telecommuting work options solve these problems for many. Currently many large companies hire flexible hour or telecommuting staff, including: American Express, Microsoft, Jet Blue, AT&T, IBM, Cisco, Hilton Hotels, Aetna, Inc. Magazine and many, many more. Benefits for the employer include reduced absenteeism, lowered turnover, increased loyalty and raised productivity. A predicted average $20,000 per year is saved for each full time employee who works remotely. Six weeks into the Occupy Movement and it is not surprising that increasing numbers of young people are taking to the streets in frustration of joblessness. This is no longer about a candidate or a political party, but rather about the lack of social responsibility among the many. Jobs are a big issue and it's time for companies to proudly claim themselves socially responsible. As Rev. Al Sharpton stated, "It's not about Obama, it's about my mama". Add to that, the broken political system, and people are doing what they can now to participate for change. Simply going to the Ballot Box will no longer solve the absence of social responsibility among companies. Just a few years ago, the most common complaint was that young people were not active enough in public life. The culminating results of the Recession have changed that. It's a new movement, where people are taking time out of their lives to stand up for people in their country. All voices will be needed to demand the necessary changes which will help to get the economy back on track.
