ZiXi chosen to monitor Scripps Networks Interactive's international channels

Nov 14, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Provider of solutions and services that deliver HDTV via the Internet, ZiXi, revealed on Monday that Scripps Networks Interactive (NYSE: SNI), a developer of lifestyle-oriented content, has selected ZiXi to monitor its international channels via the Internet from the company's headquarters.

Scripps, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, has a media portfolio that includes brands such as HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country (GAC). The company is now said to be able to affordably and reliably monitor its international channels, which broadcast across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

ZiXi said its Video Transport Platform had the capabilities to ensure the highest standards of video performance, reliability and quality. Scripps is able to stream broadcast-quality video feeds of its international programming via the Internet, allowing its US business units to observe the quality of these broadcasts in real-time.
